Missions Ministries
The members of Pilgrim Congregational Church give gifts of love and compassion which encompass a wide variety of local and international outreach programs.
Local and National Charities
Local and national charities which receive donations from Pilgrim each year are: North Star, Battered Woman’s Resources, Habitat for Humanity, Pilgrim Church Food Pantry (groceries for everyone who comes to our door seeking help), The American Red Cross, and The American Cancer Society.
UCC Charitable Works
We participate in the United Church of Christ charitable work by supporting “Our Church’s Wider Mission.” Three offerings bring vital ministries and hope to people in the United States and around the world - One Great Hour of Sharing, Neighbors in Need, and The Christmas Fund.
Church World Service
Pilgrim Congregational Church supports Church World Service by sponsoring an annual Crop Walk to Stop Hunger, and the Church World Service Tool and Blanket Drive. We raise money each year for SOUP’er Bowl Sunday, collect money for distressed mothers with young children, and collect hats, mittens, and coats each year for those in our community who need them. The church also generously donates to disaster relief efforts in locations around the world. We recently donated to hurricane relief in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.
Our Daily Bread
We also help sponsor Our Daily Bread, which feeds breakfast to 60 to 80 needy folks each Saturday in Leominster.
Our mission work also includes educational scholarships for our church members.
Our members of Pilgrim Congregational Church give gifts of care and compassion which will keep giving throughout the years to families suffering from the aftermath of local and international disasters or who live grinding poverty each day. We at Pilgrim Congregational Church have an abiding and lasting commitment to care for people suffering from disaster, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, and disease.
