Music Director​

Michael Winslow is currently the choral director at Lowell High School, where he directs two competitive choirs and teaches various music classes.  Prior to returning to New England, he was the Show Choir Director at Mt. Zion High School in central Illinois for 6 years.  Michael is a graduate of The Hartt School in West Hartford, Connecticut where he was a member of the Chamber Singers directed by Richard Coffey.  He also studied piano with Luiz DeMoura Castro.   Michael completed his Masters degree at Fitchburg State where he is currently enrolled in a program to complete a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership.


During his 25 years of teaching, Michael's choirs have been named First Place/Grand Champions in competitions numerous times.  Some included in these Championships are FAME National Show Choir Series in Orlando, Los Angeles and New York.  His students have received numerous solo awards.


Michael came to Pilgrim Congregational Church in July of 2023.  He has been working in liturgical music for almost 30 years having started playing piano in his church at the age of 15.  Michael is also a freelance arranger, soloist, and adjudicator.
