Robert Johnson began his duties as organist at Pilgrim Congregational Church in October of 2016. Previously he was organist in Hancock, N.H. and interim organist in Fitzwilliam, N.H. and has played at many churches in the Monadnock region. Bob is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music and is retired adjunct faculty from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, N.H. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists.

The pipe organ at Pilgrim Church is a real beauty. It was made by Steer and Turner organ builders in 1873. It has 33 ranks on two manuals. Originally it was a tracker action but the action was electrified in the 1920s. The present console is from the 1960s.
